Q. How long have you been in business?
We have been in business since 2002.
Q. Is your company licensed?
Yes, we are licensed by the IL Dept. of Public Health.
Q. Is your company a franchise?
No, we are a family-owned business. After reviewing the franchise option we didn’t feel that
we fit into the mold of the corporate franchise world. We enjoy the more personal touch
we feel we can bring to our clients regarding all aspects of their care.
Q. Does Medicare cover in-home non-medical senior care?
No, Medicare is generally only available for nursing services.
Q. Do you accept long-term care insurance?
In many cases, yes. Please check with your provider to see if your specific
policy covers non-medical in-home care.
Q. In what areas do you provide services?
Crystal Lake, McHenry, Woodstock, Algonquin, Huntley, Cary, Fox River Grove,
and many surrounding communities.
Q. Do you serve only seniors?
No. We provide services to a wide variety of ages, including persons requiring assistance
with surgery recovery, respite care, or those who have special needs.
Q. Why should I choose a home care agency rather than employing a private caregiver?
Angels By Your Side will provide well-supervised and well-trained caregivers to work in your home.
We closely monitor our caregivers as well as perform periodic home visits to ensure
your complete satisfaction.
As their employer, we assume all employment liability and compliance with employment
law. And, of course, we pay all payroll taxes; provide workmen's compensation insurance,
general liability insurance, and each caregiver is bonded. In addition, each caregiver has been
fingerprinted, had a background check, a thorough interview process, reference checks, and
completed our training program. Should you employ your own personal caregiver these are
some of the challenges you may need to address. Or, simply let Angels By Your Side take
care of these concerns for you.
Q. What if I don’t like the caregiver provided?
When we do our assessment we consider which of our caregivers has the best personality for
this particular client. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your caregiver,
however, if you would like to change caregivers we would be happy to do so.
Q. Do I have to sign a long term contract locking me into services?
No, our service agreement may be cancelled at anytime. We realize that a client’s situation
may change, resulting in additional or fewer services needed.
